An exciting role has opened up in the Fundraising for Mission team as Key Relationships Officer. The Key Relationships Team is responsible for securing major gifts from individuals and trusts for Church Mission Society. This involves developing and nurturing relationships with existing supporters and actively seeking to find new prospects who can give generously to Christian charities.
The Key Relationships Officer is a permanent, full time role (35 hours per week), with a starting salary of £26,675 per annum, and a generous pension scheme contribution. The role will be based at CMS House, Oxford.
It is essential that the successful candidate be educated to degree level or equivalent, and have experience of working in a trusts and/or major gifts fundraising team. She/he will also have worked on building and maintaining donor relationships in the charity sector, and have strong research and administrative and database knowledge.
Applications are also welcomed from candidates wanting to train in the trusts and major donor fields of fundraising. For this position, administrative experience in a customer service or client facing role, and excellent English writing skills are essential. In this case the appointment would be made at Key Relationship Assistant level (see separate job description) and with a starting salary of £23,710 per annum.
It is also a requirement for this post holder to be a committed and practising Christian committed to Church Mission Society's values and aims. The post may be subject to safeguarding checks.
