Here’s how to join in:

Let’s face it. The world is giving us plenty of reasons to give up. We are weary of war, tired of all the turmoil and heartsick from situations that seem hopeless.

And yet…Jesus never gives up. Neither should we.

To persist in hope in 2025 feels like an act of resistance.

So, on 2 July 2025 – the midpoint of this tumultuous year – we invite you to take a stand with us.

In solidarity with all God’s people at the edges, we will join together to resist despair and persist in hope. Let’s not give up – together.

The #NotGivingUp pledge

I’m not giving up.
I acknowledge that there might be many reasons to give up. On people. On hope. On the idea that things can ever change.
Yet, as a seeker or follower of Jesus, I know I am called to trust him through the storms.
Tough as that might be, I will persist in hope.
No people are beyond his reach. No place or space is beyond his love.
And so, at the midpoint of this turbulent year, I will look to him.

By God’s grace, I will choose curiosity over cynicism.
I will take risks.
I will turn my anger into action.
I will be generous.
I will love.
I will look for God at work at the edges.
I will join with other Jesus-followers and stubbornly love this world back to wholeness.

I can do this because I know Jesus never gives up.
Neither should I.
