Request a Church Mission Society speaker

More than a speaker...

We want to bless your church or group’s call to mission.

“Thank you so much for being with us...and for your wonderful, enthusiastic, challenging and moving input.”

St Margaret’s Church, Ifield

We want to encourage you by sharing global and local stories of other’s call to mission. We want to help equip you for mission through the expertise and experiences of the CMS community.

This could be by sharing inspiring stories from home and abroad, about the ways in which God’s call to mission is being played out. It could involve biblical preaching on mission to inspire and encourage your church or group. Or maybe a bit of both!

A CMS representative could come and speak at whichever time or event suits you best. This could be:

  • Fundraising event
  • Church weekend away
  • Training for laity
  • Sunday morning service
  • Church social event
  • Coffee morning
  • Youth event

The possibilities are only limited by your imagination!

“I have had lots of very positive feedback about your visit, both regarding the content of the message you brought (which has been helpful to the deliberations of our mission committee), and also the relaxed manner in which you brought it.”

All Saints Church, Sidmouth

If you’d like a Church Mission Society representative to visit your church or group then please complete our online form and we’ll contact you to discuss the details.

If you’re not sure exactly what you’d like and want to discuss options then please contact John Orchard on 01864 787523 or email

Please note that all representatives are UK based and we ask that churches and groups help with travel costs (up to maximum of £75). We will try to send you speakers who live locally to you, although we also want to ensure we send the right person to best encourage your church.

Coming soon!

We are currently developing a number of practical workshops which will help congregations, PCCs and other groups to answer God’s mission calling in their local context.

Once details are available they’ll be posted here and you’ll be able to request a workshop leader in the same way as a speaker.

If you’d like to be kept informed then please email John Orchard using the contact above.
