Ukraine update 13 Oct 2022
As we continue to pray against violence and especially for churches and all people in the occupied territories in Ukraine, we can also give thanks for the faithful ministry of mission partner Alison Giblett and her church, Tabernacle of the Living God (TLG), led by local partner Valery Alymov. The church celebrates its fourth anniversary this weekend, grateful to God for their new building where evening activities take place throughout the week.
The team has been working alongside another church in the region west of Kyiv. Thank God for a children’s club that has started following on from a summer camp that was held there (see pictures of this ministry). Pray too for youth work and for the links between the churches to continue to bear fruit.
Pray for ongoing restoration ministry in other villages nearer Kiev. Across the region war has had many effects, with some people leaving villages and others arriving, and very many affected directly or indirectly, e.g. rates of heart attack have gone up and many are under financial pressure. Some people run to church for help; some get angry with God and the church. Pray for all involved in ministry in these places.
