Please pray for the country of Haiti which is currently suffering from gang violence, lawlessness and an absence of leadership (an interim transition council is being proposed following the prime minister’s resignation but it is not yet in place). Gangs are controlling large parts of the capital, food is scarce and people are living in fear. Please pray for a new government that can resolve the country’s pressing issues, for peace and for food to reach those who are currently without. As one resident put it in a news report recently, “Only God can change this place because from where I’m sitting I can’t see where any other change is coming from”.
