The churches’ presence in the community is noticeable, but there is little transformation taking place due to the fact that the church is ill equipped; this leads to the church missing opportunities to serve. My approach would be to equip the church for transformational ministry.

My role would be to facilitate training of pastors and church leaders/church through the Samaritan Strategy [helping churches to ‘love their neighbourhood’ with the resources they already have]. To do follow up to see the implementation of the training, network with other trainers who are doing Samaritan Strategy. And to mobilise the church for Samaritan Strategy vision casting and training.

Meshack’s story

I was born to Godly parents who introduced me to the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age. Got born again in 1979.

In 1985, worked for the youth department of my local church (Pentecostal Assemblies of God). A graduate of Charles University, Prague, of the Czech Republic. During my studies I spearheaded the formation of Christian Union in the Universities of both Czech and Slovak Republics. Was also involved in smuggling of Bibles to the former Communist Czechoslovakia.

Upon the completion of my studies, I worked with The Sheepfold Ministries (TSM) which is an indigenous mission mobilisation agency in Kenya. I was in charge of the Centre for Mission Training for the five years I worked with TSM.

Between 1999 and 2003 I was the national coordinator of church relations department in World Vision International (Kenya).

In 2004 I joined Church Army Africa, and my passion is in the area of urban mission. I taught a course on transformation, and urban mission. Currently heading Samaritan Strategy programme.

I minister with Ngong Pentecostal Church. Here, I am able to practise what I teach other churches. I am married to Jane and we have six wonderful children (two girls and four boys).
