Based in Chiang Mai, I partner with local organisations to share God’s love and inner healing with survivors of human trafficking, as well as walking alongside women who choose to leave the sex industry on their own.

In addition, I assist in equipping pastors and leaders from unreached people groups in the region.

Helen’s story

Helen has a heart to see God’s people live an abundant life free from oppression and bondage. She currently works within the area of inner healing and trauma counselling with Kingdom Family Multiplication, while also assisting the team to equip pastors and leaders from unreached people groups in the region. She is currently spearheading their work against modern-day slavery.

Helen has been an advocate against human trafficking for many years and was involved with various projects related to the cause in Malaysia (where she is from), including organising Malaysia’s first Walk for Freedom in 2017. Her passion is to delve deeper into the area of human trafficking and provide rehabilitation, counselling and inner healing to survivors.

Since beginning her ministry in Chiang Mai in 2018, Helen has spent much of her time equipping herself in learning the Thai language, understanding the local culture, establishing a community of intercessors to pray for the fight to end human trafficking and also building friendships with many of the women who are trapped in the sex industry.

Along with her husband Vincent, Helen has been developing a transformation programme designed to assist women who choose to leave the sex industry to start their lives over. So far, one woman has left the sex trade and is now actively engaged with helping Helen reach out to others and in small community relief programs.

She says: “Asia-CMS’s vision matches my passion and heart for Asia and for the lost. It is a privilege to be a part of an organisation that aims to fulfil the commission to make disciples, spread the good news of Jesus, and more importantly, to walk alongside those who have a heart for God’s mission – even those on the edge!”
