Bisoke Balikenga, CMS local partner in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), has first-hand experience of what makes a real difference in people’s lives: Only Jesus.

He sees many lives made new by the good news of Jesus at the Peace Centre he runs.

The people of eastern DRC have long felt the terrible effects of violent conflict.

Many people who come to Bunia, where Bisoke runs the centre, have lost loved ones and witnessed or committed acts of violence.

Yet, time and again, Bisoke sees lives turned around.

Jesus never gives up

In a fractured, hurting world it can be tempting to give up: on hope, on people, on the idea that things can ever change.

Jesus never gives up. Neither should we.
