Voices of Peace – Church Times Story

Can victims of violence become voices of peace?

Forced to flee her home in South Sudan, Hellen had every reason to be fearful and angry. And she was – for a while.

CMS offered Hellen a place on the trauma healing workshop. She found peace with God, within herself, and with others.

Now, she is helping more people discover the healing and peace Jesus brings.

Across our world, violence pushes people like Hellen to the margins. But that doesn’t have to be the end of their story.

With your support, people at the edges can play a vital role in God’s mission.

“I am free… Jesus is the Prince of Peace. He alone is the one who can bring peace…”

Join Jesus at the edges

Every single person in made in the image of God and is loved by God. Yet violence, poverty and oppression constantly push people to the edges so we can’t – or don’t – see them for who they are.

It turns out, Jesus is at the edges too. And he calls us to join him at the edges so we can meet new friends and discover new life, together.
