South East Asia: a challenging time

Mission partners A and L support people to live in freedom from addiction (A) and champion the cause of children with special needs (L). They ask for prayer for their family as they navigate a particularly challenging time. Pray for relief, as recent events have taken their toll, and also for them to hear God’s will, both in navigating the situation and in what might be next for them. Pray for the shield of faith to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one (Ephesians 6:16).

Philippines: earthquake aftermath

It has been reported that the recent 6.9 magnitude earthquake in the central part of the country has killed at least 69 people. For every person who has lost loved ones, homes or indeed everything, pray for comfort, and strength to keep going.

South Sudan: church planting

Local partner Paul Lueth recently led training for church planters in Wau. Pray for the church planters to put into practice what they have learned. Ask God to strengthen and guide them to plant and nurture healthy, Christ-centred churches in Wau and Warrap states.

UK: pioneer students

Please pray for all the new students who have just started courses with CMS and for returning students. Pray that their studies draw them closer to God and for this busy term to be a really positive experience for all our students and teachers.
