Asia: PiM conference and SACYN conference

Give thanks for a successful Asia people in mission (PiM) conference where CMS and Asia-CMS came together to explore the themes of Belonging, Build, Become and Bridge. Praise God that participants had the opportunity to share what God is doing across Asia. The South Asia Christian Youth Network (SACYN) are together for a conference this week. Pray for a useful time in God’s presence. Pray for both events to continue to inspire a sense of connection and unity among partners across the region.

Middle East: ceasefire

Praise God for small steps of peaceful progress as the ceasefire in Gaza continues to be negotiated. News reports share that violence continues and any signs of peace are tentative. Pray for the ceasefire to continue to hold and for it to lead to a longstanding peace agreement.

Middle East: engaging with the message of Daniel

Mission partners J and R, engaged in Bible translation in the Middle East, write that J recently preached on Jonah in the local language and that it went well. As J now embarks on teaching from Daniel, pray that local members of the church will really engage with the message of the book.
