Dwelling in the Word is a “faithful and disruptive” spiritual and missional practice that is used by churches and the systems that support them all over the country.
This “roundtable” webinar will draw together anyone interested in the practice, from those who have long experience with it to the simply curious. In an interactive online environment we will learn together, understand the impact that Dwelling can make and aim to give it life for the future of our churches.
The content of our time together will look like this:
- Dwelling in the Word together
- Learning from our experience of Dwelling
- Choice of one of three workshops:
- 1. Dwelling in the Word – the basics. Staying faithful, meeting resistance, gaining a balcony view and diffusing the practice.
- 2. FAQs on Dwelling – we’ll answer some common questions that often come up – like why stay with the same bible passage for an extended period? What’s the minimum we need to do to call it Dwelling in the Word? – and try to answer the questions you bring to the session.
- 3. What can break or make the practice of Dwelling? How do we give Dwelling life and are there ways that we can unwittingly break it?
- Feedback from the Workshops and asking “What next?”
