Pioneering Parishes: Next Steps
Tuesdays at 2pm: 7, 14, 21 and 28 November
Four webinars for church leaders grappling with the challenge of developing a pioneering culture and a mixed ecology of church. Total cost £10.
This Next Steps course offers additional concepts and tools for leading congregations through processes of change, as well as opening up conversations about postures and practices that support the development of a culture of cross-cultural mission and innovation.
Guests will join us to share insights from their experience and practice.
It is suitable for anyone looking to join in with God’s co-creation of a new way of being church together: church wardens, PCC members, area and lay deans, parish priests, diocesan advisers, pioneers lay and ordained. Feedback from our previous courses have included all these kinds of people and over 80 per cent said they were likely or highly likely to recommend it to someone else. If you’re not sure if the course is suitable for you, message us from this site.
The course is led by Rev Greg Bakker and the less Rev Tina Hodgett.
Tina Hodgett is a pioneer, teacher, speaker and leader with a reputation for inspiring hope, engaging whole congregations in mission ‘with a twinkle in its eye’, co-authoring the pioneer spectrum and birthing the Pioneer Project in the Diocese of Bath and Wells.
Greg is Pioneer Development Officer for the Diocese of Portsmouth. As an experienced parish priest, he is committed to creating space for both pioneers and parish churches to thrive in the work of developing new Christian communities.
