“It’s essential that this course spreads in the prison environment. The Word of God is our tool for teaching and liberation.” This is a quote from a man in prison outside Florianópolis, Brazil, who recently took a course on the foundations of the Christian faith. We give thanks with mission partners Andy and Kati Walsh for the amazing work God is doing through this course and Andy and the prison ministry team. The course has now been run nine times in various men’s prison units in and around Florianópolis and the ministry continues to grow.

Andy and Kati and fellow mission partner Katia Rocks have been working to get the course up and running in a women’s prison as well, but have faced a lot of opposition and the director of the women’s prison recently cancelled the first scheduled course. Pray for barriers to be removed so that female prisoners can also receive this life-giving teaching.
