Brazil: discipleship course in women’s prisons

In Florianópolis, prison ministry among men has had a huge impact. Mission partner Andy Walsh, together with a small team, has run a 12-week discipleship course again and again among male inmates over the past couple of years, and seen hundreds of men accept Jesus and be baptised. Andy and Kati Walsh and Kati’s sister, mission partner Katia Rocks, long to see such impact in the women’s prisons as well, and Kati and Katia were previously allowed to visit female inmates. Unfortunately, efforts to and run the same course in women’s prisons have met with more resistance and Kati and Katia are currently not allowed to visit. Pray for favour with decision makers and for doors to open for ministry in women’s prisons again.
