Please continue to pray for the Recife and Olinda areas of northeastern Brazil which have been hit by widespread flooding and landslides. Over 100 people have been killed and more than 6,000 have had to leave their homes and stay in shelters. Please pray for all those affected and those responding with help including the local church and CMS’s people in mission in the area.
A ceasefire came into force on Monday evening and the last few days has seen relative peace for the first time in five weeks, though sporadic artillery fire can still be heard in Khartoum, according to residents. Please pray for the ceasefire to hold and for peace to come to this nation.
