Brazil: leadership in local hands

Give thanks for Greice, who is increasingly taking over leadership of a community market in Olinda after starting as a volunteer towards the end of last year. Mission partners Rosie and Stu Bayford set up the surplus food distribution ministry several years ago alongside their work of supporting at-risk girls at charity ReVive. Currently on home leave in the UK, Rosie and Stu are encouraged at the way Greice has stepped up and taken on more responsibility in their absence. Pray for Greice to continue to grow in confidence as she serves her community in this way.

Burundi: preparing for consecration

Please pray for CMS-Africa’s country coordinator for Burundi, Onesphore Ndayizigamiye, recently selected as the new Bishop of the Diocese of Makamba. Bishop-elect Onesphore is now preparing for consecration ceremonies at the beginning of August. Pray for him as he prepares for this role professionally, spiritually and emotionally.
