Our friends and colleagues in CMS-Africa urge us to pray for our local partner Bisoke Balikenga in Bunia: “Friends, let us pray with and for Bisoke and his fellow countrymen and women. He recently sent us a horrifying report of an atrocious attack on 8 May in the Djugu Territory of Ituri Province by members of a militia. At least 38 people lost their lives with many horribly injured. The UN has issued strong statements on this. Let us pray for God’s peace to come to this country. Let us pray that the forces of darkness that undergird such appalling destruction would find no grounds in which to fester or gain a stronghold. Let us pray for people of God to be able to support and comfort those who are affected, and the Spirit of God to equip his people for ministry in this context of conflict.”

Ecuador, Peru: heavy rains

Please pray for all those who have been affected by heavy rains across the region. In Peru and Ecuador many have died as a result of flooding and landslides, infrastructure has been destroyed and crops have been lost. Many are without work and some communities are completely cut off.
