Please pray for local partner Bisoke Balikenga, whose mother recently died. Pray that Bisoke will feel God’s comfort as he and his family grieve and continue to pray for his ministry of peacemaking and reconciliation, too. He is playing a major role in coordinating a big meeting with church leaders, which is planned for October in Bunia. This is part of CMS and CMS-Africa’s continuing effort to make disciples of Jesus in areas where there is violent conflict.
Five people in the north-west of the country have died of Marburg virus, and the authorities are working hard to curb the spread of the virus. Pray for the disease to be stopped in its tracks.
