Please pray for areas across Latin America affected by droughts and wildfires. There are record low levels of water in many rivers across the Amazon basin and beyond and this directly impacts on people’s livelihoods and ability to travel. In Ecuador we have received news of overnight electricity blackouts due to the lack of water for hydroelectric power generation.

In Paraguay we have heard of indigenous communities where water storage has run dry. In addition, there are wildfires burning in many areas including parts of Brazil, Paraguay and Peru. Please pray for rain where it is most needed, for water to arrive to those who have none and for protection for those whose lives and homes are at risk from the fires.
