Mission partner Nicci Maxwell, who provides paediatric and neonatal care and trains and supports local paediatric teams, was until recently working with refugees in Gorom through charity ACROSS as part of her role. She writes, “Very sadly, ACROSS had to finish work in Gorom at the end of May as the UNHCR [United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees] contract went to another NGO. My continued work in the camp is currently being negotiated with the new organisation. Please pray that I will be able to continue to serve the refugees with good paediatric care or, if not, that I will quickly find the right place for my skills to be used.”
