Bishop Hassan James, CMS and CMS-Africa local partner and a constant voice for peace in Kadugli Diocese, asks for prayer for “the pain caused by the war we have in Sudan, especially South Kordofan, in the Nuba Mountains.” Specifically: “Many have lost their lives in the conflict between the SPLM [Sudan People’s Liberation Movement] and the government forces. A large number of families have left their homes, even me, as it is dangerous…. We seek your prayers for peace and stability in Sudan. Pray for us as the humanitarian situation is very, very difficult. Around 2,000 families are in a dire need for food and water supplies. You have all my thanks and appreciation.”
