Pray for the people of Taiwan, who are dealing with injuries, trauma, collapsed buildings and more following two earthquakes in the past week; a 6.9-magnitude quake on Sunday and one measuring 5.6 on Monday.

Sudan: ceasefire

A ceasefire came into force on Monday evening and the last few days has seen relative peace for the first time in five weeks, though sporadic artillery fire can still be heard in Khartoum, according to residents. Please pray for the ceasefire to hold and for peace to come to this nation.

South Asia: home leave

Please pray for mission partners B and K as they plan their home leave for this autumn – especially for the arrangement that is needed for caring for B’s dad while they are not in South Asia.

Mission associate N is in contact with two families in South Asia dealing with impossible situations, desperately needing jobs and somewhere to live. Pray for wisdom for N to know how to help.

Latin America: indigenous peoples

Pray for indigenous peoples across Latin America who continue to have to navigate and adapt to increasingly encroaching outside cultures. May they be able to maintain their cultural identity and have the right opportunities to benefit from outside cultures. Remember in prayer CMS’s ongoing mission work with indigenous peoples across the region.

South East Asia: special educational needs conference

Please pray for mission partner L as she takes part in a special educational needs conference this weekend in the local language. Venezuela: displacement

Many of the 7 million Venezuelan migrants who have fled the country are spread across Latin America. In many Latin American countries, they are now facing increased anti-immigrant sentiment. Please pray for all those who have had to leave their home for many different reasons, that they might find safety, care and live in peace.
