On Tuesday, Ukraine marked 1,000 days since the Russian invasion. Our local partners Valery Alymov and Anya Manchuliak, with mission partner Alison Giblett, invite us to pray:

• Pray that all people across the region, including the troops and fearful citizens, may know, in Valery’s words, “the fullness of God’s peace”.
• Please pray for Valery, Anya, Alison and all the people of Ukraine as the weather is much colder with snow coming, making conditions more difficult for everyone.
• Energy infrastructure was attacked this week, rocket attacks continue and power cuts happen. When the Metro (underground) is not functioning (e.g. in a power cut) bus travel is much more time consuming.
• People are feeling war weary. Stresses are unsurprisingly taking their toll, especially increasing sirens alerting possible rocket attacks and the sound of bombs.
• Pray too for the leaders of both Ukraine and Russia, that a just peace may soon be reached and the appalling loss of life on both sides may stop.
