Ukraine update 15 February
“Please encourage everyone to continue in prayer,” says one of our colleagues in Kyiv.
We continue to pray for CMS people in mission in Ukraine, who have been sharing the love of Jesus in tense and fearful times. Will you please join us in praying:
- For more de-escalation and peace to prevail
- For many churches in Ukraine who are joining together in regular prayer and fasting. From our partner: “The church is convinced that this is a time for a harvest and that they must stand against any feeling of fear. Pray that church members would have confidence to trust God and not feel fear and to share the Gospel. Pray that many at this time of uncertainty will follow Jesus.”

Brazil: preparing to return to the UK
After seven years of serving in Recife, mission partners Rosie and Stu Bayford are preparing to return to the UK in April. Pray for them to end their service well as they wrap up work, and particularly for their daughter, who is just two years old, as the family makes this big transition. Pray for

Based in Brno, mission partners Lea and Petra Williams lead their local Anglican congregation. Petra also works with an organisation called Vesna, supplying clothing, toiletries, and household essentials to people in need – particularly Ukrainian refugees. A CMS mission partner and lawyer (name withheld) supports Christians in the Middle East who are persecuted for their faith. In these volatile times, please pray for protection and strength for the body of Christ across the lands of some of the earliest churches.
Lebanon: peace, protection and provision
Our partners in Lebanon ask us to pray for the millions displaced by the current war in Lebanon and the wider Middle East, especially vulnerable Syrian refugees facing prejudice. Ask for God’s provision of shelter, medical care, and daily necessities amid economic crisis, and for an immediate end to violence, missile attacks, and regional instability.
South Asia: new home
