Ukraine update 15 February

We continue to pray for CMS people in mission in Ukraine, who have been sharing the love of Jesus in tense and fearful times. Will you please join us in praying:
- For more de-escalation and peace to prevail
- For many churches in Ukraine who are joining together in regular prayer and fasting. From our partner: “The church is convinced that this is a time for a harvest and that they must stand against any feeling of fear. Pray that church members would have confidence to trust God and not feel fear and to share the Gospel. Pray that many at this time of uncertainty will follow Jesus.”

According to Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a second phase of the US-brokered plan to end the war in Gaza is close, but key issues still need to be resolved. Pray for people’s hearts to be turned to peace and for these issues to be resolved quickly.
Philippines: typhoon aftermath
Please pray for people in the Philippines as they continue to attempt to recover and rebuild following two super typhoons. Pray for floodwaters to recede and for God’s comfort for those who have lost loved ones, homes and belongings. South East Asia: visiting the UK
Please pray for mission partners B and M and their three children based in South East Asia as they prepare to come to the UK for a month in mid-2026. Pray for God to provide accommodation, preferably somewhere near Oxford, and to guide them as they make plans to connect with, friends and CMS supporters.
Tanzania: ongoing peace
Mission partners Festo and Grace Kanungha, who previously served in Tanzania, ask for prayer for the nation following recent political unrest in connection with the country’s general election in October. Please pray for the country to remain peaceful and for wise and good leadership.
