Ukraine update 15 February

We continue to pray for CMS people in mission in Ukraine, who have been sharing the love of Jesus in tense and fearful times. Will you please join us in praying:
- For more de-escalation and peace to prevail
- For many churches in Ukraine who are joining together in regular prayer and fasting. From our partner: “The church is convinced that this is a time for a harvest and that they must stand against any feeling of fear. Pray that church members would have confidence to trust God and not feel fear and to share the Gospel. Pray that many at this time of uncertainty will follow Jesus.”

Bolivia: a great loss
Mission partners Andrew and Lisa Peart write, “We ask prayers for the family of Bishop Walter Toro who passed away recently, as well as the for the diocese, pastors and local leadership as we grieve this great loss. He was very dear to us personally; we appreciated his prayerful, patient leadership and heart’s desire for mission.
Bolivia: entering a new phase of life
Please pray for Andrew and Lisa Peart’s daughter Anayah as she and her class prepare to graduate high school at the end of May. Pray for them to finish well and for them to grow closer to God as they look to the next phase of their lives.
DR Congo: Ebola
The World Health Organisation has declared a public health emergency in DR Congo due to an outbreak of a rare strain of the Ebola virus for which there is no vaccine. CMS partner Bisoke Balikenga shares that the city Bunia, where he runs a peace centre, is affected by the crisis and asks for prayer.
Middle East: suffering in displacement camps
Embrace the Middle East reports that conditions in Gaza’s displacement camps are “catastrophic” due to overcrowding and a lack of clean water, sanitation and hygiene. A shortage of medical supplies means hospitals are increasingly struggling to provide healthcare. Pray for God to make a way for aid to enter Gaza and reach those who need
India: Manipur conflict
Please pray for God’s comfort and peace for the families of three pastors who were killed recently on their way home from an inter-church peace conference. Pray for reconciliation among the communities involved in the conflict, which broke out in 2023. Pray for people’s hearts to be turned to peace and for an end to
