Voices from the edges

Where Christianity is a minority faith in Africa, people are under intense pressure simply for following Jesus. We have the opportunity to stand alongside them, and to help them stand firm in their faith and share Jesus in the face of persecution.

Even in countries with a significant Christian population, thousands of our brothers and sisters are living as a persecuted minority. In Tanzania for example, Christianity is the majority religion, but in the coastal regions Christians make up as little as 1% of the population. Here they face oppression from the local government, rejection by their communities, and even death at the hands of extremist groups.

Sadly, this persecution often goes unreported, leaving Christians in these areas feeling ignored or forgotten. But not by God, and not by us. Our vision is to see these Christian communities equipped to stand firm in the face of persecution, and encouraged to share the hope and love of Jesus Christ with their neighbours.

We are really excited to be working alongside our regional partners in Africa to support persecuted Christian communities who are often overlooked by the outside world. This is only possible through the generous support of people like you, and we warmly invite you to partner with us in this ministry.
