You can help churches dig into God’s word and discover how they can join in God’s mission.

Join our Mission Transformation team and help inspire, mobilise and equip churches in God’s mission – both in their own communities and globally.

A key focus of this new role is to facilitate groups of churches who undertake Partnership for Missional Church (PMC),– a unique three-year process designed to help churches engage in new missional ways with their congregations and the communities they serve: www.churchmissionsociety.org/pmc The post-holder will help grow and develop this newer area of CMS work.

The other focus of the role is the development of mission resources and learning from both local and global contexts for churches more widely and also for the CMS mission community who share a common commitment to pray, learn and participate in mission. It is essential that the successful candidate has a graduate qualification in theology or the social science field or equivalent experience, as well as significant experience with leading teams, delivering large group learning processes, change management, group facilitation in complex and diverse environments, and a commitment to personal discipleship.

It is also a requirement for this post holder to be a committed and practising Christian and be committed to the vision, aims and values of CMS, which are detailed on the CMS website.

This is an Oxford based (with some flexibility), full-time role (35 hours per week) with a starting salary of £30,385 per annum, and a generous pension scheme contribution or clergy pension as applicable.  This position is currently funded by dioceses/ churches participating in the PMC process. Please be aware that over the next several months, CMS is undergoing a strategic review which could affect the organisational structure.
