Communications and Social Media Assistant

Can you be the glue that holds a busy team of creatives together? And get stuck into creating some content for social media?

An opportunity has opened up in the communications team for a Communications and Social Media Assistant. The post holder will be a vital part of the communications team, who are the guardians of the CMS story. S/he will help the team by handling the administration involved in communicating to current and potential audiences. Included in this role is the responsibility for increasing our social media interaction.

The Communications and Social Media Assistant is a permanent, 28–35 hours per week role, with a starting salary of £19,348 – £24,185 per annum (pro-rata), and a generous pension scheme contribution. The role will be based at CMS House, Oxford.

The successful candidate will have a good level of education including good GCSEs in English and Maths. They will have at least one year of administrative experience in a team environment, including database work and minute taking. S/he will also have experience in social media content production and administration in an organisational context. S/he will have an eye for detail, creativity, excellent organisational skills, the ability to multi-task and proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office and database programmes, as well as demonstrable abilities pertaining to our main social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

It is also a requirement for this post holder to be in sympathy with the values and aims of Church Mission Society.
