Greenbelt 2024: Dream on

The theme of this year’s Greenbelt Festival is “Dream On”. Join the CMS team who will be on hand to help you turn your dreams into reality.

“Dreamers who do” is a phrase used time and time again by CMS pioneers to describe themselves. We love helping people to dream and equipping people to turn their dreams into reality.

We want to celebrate all people who are pioneers and what better opportunity is there than Greenbelt Festival? 

The CMS Pioneer Mission Training team are delighted to be offering a whole array of interesting and fun activities at Greenbelt this year.

In the main programme

Jonny Baker will be running a panel discussion on “Whatever happened to alternative worship?” (Friday 3.30pm, Shelter), Harvey Kwiyani will be speaking on mission with Christian Aid (Friday 12pm, No Fly Zone). Do look out for them!

We’ll also be running daily workshops each morning in the Hope and Anchor venue on:

• eco-theology and why and how the church can be more involved in climate action (10am Friday)
• how to motivate and equip your church to be more missionally focused (with Pioneering Parishes, 10am Saturday)
• how to turn your ideas into projects and how to get that project off the ground using some of the tools used by start-ups (11.30am Sunday)

You’ll also be able to find us daily at the CMS pioneer stand, which will be a stand like no other. Look out for it in the festival village.

Make an Edge Pledge

Each day there will be a tantalising Edge Pledge challenge, an opportunity to join daily conversations around the table, and fun activities to involve all the family.

Pioneer gatherings

A chance to meet up with other pioneers: gather at the CMS stand at 3pm Friday, 3pm Saturday (this meet-up is particularly for ordained pioneer ministers), 1pm Sunday.
