DONATE NOWLebanon is a country with many challenges and a large of refugee population from neighbouring countries. The needs therefore are huge, but so are the opportunities to show God’s love for people.
After five years with another Lebanese NGO, Audrey and Colin joined A Rocha Lebanon in October 2020. A Rocha is a Christian organisation engaging communities in nature conservation and has been active in Lebanon since 1996.

Colin is national director and Audrey is education and church liaison officer at A Rocha Lebanon. Currently we are focused on turning two areas of waste ground into nature parks for the benefit of both wildlife and the local communities. At one we plan to set aside an area to grow organic fruit and vegetables, which will provide employment opportunities as well as food. We also want to engage children and adults in caring for God’s creation by producing resources in Arabic for use by churches and schools. In addition to the day-to-day work, we aim to create the foundations to ensure the continued success of A Rocha Lebanon.
Prior to moving to Lebanon in 2015, we lived in a small village in Somerset and attended the parish church there. In 2017 we celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary and have two grown up children. Colin has had a varied career background – mining geologist, financial adviser, flood defence engineer and finally information security manager – with plenty of project management work throughout. Audrey first trained as a dental nurse but more recently spent 14 years as a teaching assistant in a primary school, latterly working with children with special needs. We spent four years in Zambia in the early 1990s where Colin was employed in the copper mines and we have both participated in short term mission trips to Eastern Europe and Bolivia.
We love Church Mission Society because it is long established, well respected and has a broadly based ministry. We like being part of a global family with common goals and appreciate the support it provides to people in mission.
