DONATE NOWAcross Rwanda, there is a real need for quality Christian discipleship material to help people in their walk with Jesus. I am producing such materials but also contributing to strategies that help Christians become mature disciples, whether they are new to the faith or have been Christians a long time.
My role is to follow up on evangelism initiatives, giving guidance to pastors, reading reports and sharing fellowship with pastors across the diocese.
Dismas’s story
I was born in 1972 and became a Christian in 1992. My inspiration was that, after being saved, I became eager to live in the house of God and wanted to deliver his message and help Christians mature in their faith.
I taught in primary and secondary schools (1993 to 1999), then spent two years studying theology at the Protestant University of Butare in Rwanda (1999 to 2001).
I then became a deacon and was ordained as a pastor in 2002, serving at a church from 2001 to 2004.
Following that, I went back to university to study theology and divinity at Uganda Christian University, Bishop Barham Campus.
From 2007 I served as a rural dean, a sub-dean of the cathedral and then archdeacon.
CMS sponsored me when I was studying at Uganda Christian University and so I am very happy to be part of CMS-Africa.
