There is a great need for trained workers for Christian ministry, who faithfully teach the Word of God and who help train others, so that together all Christians can grow in their faith and the knowledge of God, and share good news with others.

As an apprentice, I am training to be a pastor through studying theology alongside teaching and serving in the local church.

Gaston’s story

I am part of the ministerial apprentice programme for future leaders and pastors. Through supervised pastoral practice and theological reflection, I am hoping to discover my gifts, grow in my faith and increasingly let the word of God shape my life.

I read theology books and my pastor helps me to reflect on the content, and, under his supervision, I do one-on-one discipleship with church members and am in charge of teaching the youth group at the church.

I also lead groups exploring Christian faith through the Gospel of Mark in “Club Questions” discussion groups – one in a café and one (with students) in the central square of our neighbourhood.

I was born in Buenos Aires and met Jesus when I was 18, at a summer camp at my local church.

Despite having studied business administration, a deep desire grew in me to study the Word of God and train for pastoral ministry. In 2018, I came to live in Mendoza in order to train for ministry and serve in the local church, specifically the youth group.
