I am called to serve in the Lord’s work and form new leaders who love the scriptures. I am pastor of a local church and rector of the Rural Biblical Institute, with a strong emphasis on ministerial education.

  • Guatemala

Mission partners Mark and Rosalie Balfour fly back to Guatemala this morning – about 24 hours of travel. They ask for prayer for “re-entry into life in Guatemala and – above all else – that we keep ears, eyes and hearts open to Jesus and the prompting of the Holy Spirit through our travel and […] Read more

Jose’s story

I am married to Marisol and we have three children, two of them educated and working and the youngest is studying. Before being called to the ministry I was a carabinier [law enforcement officer] for 16 years. I left that institution and I have turned to work in the mission. I studied at the Temuco Theological Seminary (of the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination). Later, I studied at the Centro Estudio Pastoral (Centre for Pastoral Studies – CEP), of the Anglican Church of Chile, for two years, both with a bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Theology.

Currently I am a senior pastor and at the same time I am the rector of the Rural Biblical Institute.

Being part of CMS means having a companion on the journey and support in prayer, as well as immersing myself in the vision of the missionary agency’s work, and learning from the testimony of so many brothers and sisters who contribute generously to the service of Christ – and at the same time to be able to contribute in what I can
