I coordinate CMS-Africa’s activities in Uganda through supporting local partners and linking each one with CMS-Africa.

Having only discovered my own calling after finishing university, I want young people to be able to discover their passions. Part of my role is as a trainer and coordinator for CMS-Africa’s training programme 3D (Discover, Develop, Deploy). This training is instrumental in discipling young people and helping them discover their potential, who they are in the Lord and finding their place in mission.

Judith’s story

Growing up in Kampala, my family were passionate about serving God, but I thought being “born again” was just for old people. At school, I discovered that being born again and serving the Lord is for young people too and I accepted Jesus into my heart at secondary school. From then on, I had a desire to win more young people to Christ and serve the Lord.

After qualifying as an environmentalist, I started serving as a coordinator with CMS-Africa’s Samaritan Strategy Africa (SSA), a training programme which equips Christians with biblical teaching to effect transformation in their communities. One of the SSA trainers suggested I start teaching, and, while I didn’t see myself as a trainer, I was willing to try. Over the years, through connecting with people and teaching, I have realised that this is what I’m called to do.

In my work to support the body of Christ, I have applied the teachings of the Samaritan Strategy, organised and participated in evangelistic missions and equipped Christian leaders and young people to influence their communities through Kingdom principles.

I have implemented training and other development programmes at a national level, developing several manuals to provide information and skills to support aspects of this work. I have served as a trainer with Transforming Nations Alliance in Uganda since 2013, reaching participants from over 30 districts of Uganda and beyond.

I also serve as East Africa coordinator with Reconciled World, an international organisation working to see God’s kingdom overcome poverty and injustice.

CMS-Africa helps me be part of a mission-minded family and enables me to use my skills and abilities to serve using the different programme materials developed by CMS-Africa in Uganda.
