Through a church I helped start, I encourage people, particularly women, to connect with Christ.

More about my work
People in Brazil are longing to meet with God – those on the edges desperately need God’s hope; others are hungry for authentic community and a safe, relational environment where they can explore faith.
I feel a strong call to respond to these needs and be part of planting biblically-based, grace-filled churches empowered by the Holy Spirit. As well as building the Church from within, I am also taking the gospel to those who haven’t yet heard it.
I have been in Florianópolis since 2015 and am encouraged by what I have seen God do and what he has allowed me to be part of during this time. Having started with a Bible study group in my home, with others, I have been involved in gradually building up a fully-fledged church, Vineyard Floripa, which has become part of the Brazilian Vineyard movement.
As a church, we love to share our faith on the streets, as well as pray with people outside the church. Our young people are particularly enthusiastic about connecting with people in this way, and we have seen several people come to faith on the streets, touched and healed by the power of the Holy Spirit.
During my time here, I have been involved in many people’s journey to baptism. As the church keeps growing, we are excited to continue our outreach through authentic community, opening up as many doors to faith as we can. In addition to meeting with people on the streets, we run Alpha courses, small groups, youth and children’s work, prayer initiatives and work among the poor.
More recently, I have felt God calling me to look outside the church walls and serve among those on the edges of society. I have taken a chaplaincy course to allow me to work with women in prison as well as homeless people and drug addicts and am excited about sharing God’s hope with those in dark places.
My story
I became a Christian while at university and have always had a desire to use my gifts to impact the lives of children and families in my country.
I completed a part-time theology course at Trinity College, Bristol, before moving back to Brazil in 2015.
I have two children, Joanna and Davi.
I am prayerfully and expectantly looking forward to the next phase of ministry in Florianópolis, focusing on meeting with homeless people and those struggling with drug addiction as well as creative outreach through Vineyard Floripa.
