Pioneering Parishes Beatitudes
At Pioneering Parishes, we are persuaded that pioneers and parishes need each other. But the dynamics between pioneers and advocates are often challenging and disruptive. To foster better understanding and coloration in mission we have created the beatitudes for pioneers and priests.
Courses
We offer various courses, either online or face to face, to help churches. Our range of courses include First Steps: discover pioneering; what it is and why it’s integral to parish life, Culture Change in Practice: grapple with the challenge of turning the parish inside out to shift the energy of the whole church outwards and Values Day: uncover who your congregation aspires to be for God and your local community.
It’s been incredibly helpful. The Pioneering Parishes training day did a lot of the heavy lifting in the culture shift to think missionally. It was very eye-opening for the congregation on what can be achieved, that you can do a bit of thinking outside the box, and you can respond to God in a way that’s not prescriptive to the way we’ve always responded. We’re starting to see people take responsibility for changes and not being fearful or defensive.
