Prayer exercise series [5] Unfolding movements

In the prayer traditions of the Western churches our prayer tends to be cerebral and word-oriented. Words matter greatly of course, but our bodies need to be engaged too.

In this series of prayer exercises, written by Ian Adams, CMS mission spirituality adviser, we engage in an unfolding set of movements or stances that can be linked together to enable a way of prayer that engages us in the body as well as the intellect and the spirit.
