Peru: a fresh start for ex-offenders
Mission partner Anna Sims asks for prayer for two ex-offenders she has been serving. Pray for B who returned to her passport country last week, as she and her family adjust to her being at home. Pray for B and her family to all continue to seek God now she’s been released, and that they would see his faithfulness and goodness. Pray also for L who was released in November. Thank God that she has asked for one-to-one Bible studies. Pray for Anna to be able to meet with her and invest in the relationship with her during this time. Pray for God’s perfect timing regarding her papers, finances for plane ticket and the borders being open for her to return to her family in her passport country.
Amongst the Wichi people of northern Argentina the pandemic has heightened suspicions of authorities and their intentions. There are many rumours circulating about the current government restrictions and the vaccination programme that has begun in the country. Pray for a de-escalation of tensions, for truth to prevail and pray for COVID-19 to be stopped from spreading more widely in the area.
Evaldo and Rebecca Reid Rodrigues arrived back in Brazil recently after time in the UK and are quarantining for two weeks. They ask for prayer for Brazil which has seen areas in the Amazon region running out of oxygen for hospital patients and the whole country lagging behind others in the implementation of an effective vaccine programme.

India: supplying COVID-19 vaccines
India is the world’s biggest producer of vaccines, and many low and middle-income countries are relying on the country for supplies to start their COVID-19 vaccination programmes. Pray for efficient production, safe transportation and quick administration of the vaccines coming from India.
Malaysia: state of emergency
Pray for Malaysia, which announced a state of emergency this week. With a surge in coronavirus cases threatening to overwhelm the country’s public health system, parliament and state legislatures have been suspended and the country is in lockdown. Pray for wisdom for decision makers during these difficult times.

Sudan and South Sudan: COVID-19
The official figures for Sudan and South Sudan – a combined total of just over 30,000 cases of COVID-19 – are almost certainly an under-estimate. Pray for all who are working to prevent the spread of the virus – and pray for a just and equitable distribution of vaccines in Sudan, South Sudan and across Africa.
