This week, Cyclone Gezani hit Madagascar’s main port, Toamasina. At least 35 people have died and as many as 250,000 are affected or displaced. Pray for all those who are now left without shelter and struggling to find food because of disruptions to food-supply chains while mourning the loss of loved ones, treasured possessions and homes.

Ialy Tongasoa, CMS-Africa’s local partner and country coordinator for Madagascar, asks for prayer for the country’s new transitional government to take effective initiatives that will lead to the development of Madagascar. Pray for the Diocese of Toliara’s new assistant bishop, Rev Osoro Victor Aunda from Nairobi, Kenya, who was consecrated on 9 November, as he continues to settle into his new role.
