Spain: new roof for spiritual retreat

Miranda and Tim Heathcote celebrate the success of a fundraising event that took place at the end of April, raising funds that will go directly towards building a roof over the outdoor meeting and reflection space at their spiritual retreat in Spain. The lack of a roof severely limits the use of this space. Please pray for the remaining funds to be raised in order to complete this project.

Spain/North Africa: quiz night fundraiser

Give thanks for a quiz night taking place this Friday evening in the Cotswolds to raise money for mission partners Miranda and Tim Heathcote’s ministry of providing essential debriefing, spiritual direction and more for mission workers. P

ray for all guests to feel welcome and at ease, especially those who may be less comfortable in Christian settings, and for people to be encouraged by the impact of Miranda and Tim’s ministry.

Pray for Miranda as she travels to their ministry house in Spain this weekend to host two consecutive weeks of debriefing, hosting and catering. Pray for energy for Miranda and for each person being debriefed to encounter God’s love for them in the way most needed.

Spain/North Africa: ministry house rewiring

Following an unusually wet winter in Spain, it has become clear that the wiring in Miranda and Tim’s ministry house in Spain needs a complete overhaul. Pray for obstacles to be removed so that this work can be completed quickly and easily so that mission workers across the Middle East and North Africa can continue to receive essential support through leadership development, debriefing, spiritual direction and retreats.

Spain/North Africa: sabbatical stays and refreshment

Mission partners Miranda and Tim Heathcote support mission workers, especially in limited access nations, through leadership development, debriefing, spiritual direction and retreats at Place of Springs, their ministry house in Spain. Over the next three months several individuals and families will stay in the house for sabbatical stays. Please pray for all those who spend time at Place of Springs to be deeply refreshed and to encounter God in real ways.

Spain/North Africa: Debriefing

“Please pray for A and M* as they process the gifts and losses of their last season of ministry,” write mission partners Miranda and Tim Heathcote. A and M are just two of the many mission workers from different organisations working across the Middle East and North Africa who Miranda and Tim support through debriefing, spiritual direction, retreats and leadership development. As this debrief will take place online, pray for strong internet connections and for technology to be a help rather than a hindrance.

North Africa: walking retreat

Miranda and Tim Heathcote divide their time between the UK and their base in Spain, and support mission workers through retreats, spiritual direction, debriefing and more. Starting this Sunday night, Tim is taking a few men on a walking retreat. Pray for good weather so that the retreat is not hampered by rain and for great conversations that encourage, challenge and uplift as the men walk and talk together.

Spain: impactful internship

Miranda and Tim Heathcote, mission partners based in Spain and the UK, support mission workers in the Middle East and North Africa through leadership development, debriefing, spiritual direction and retreats. They recently hosted a team of university students from the US at Place of Springs, their home and ministry house in Spain. During their three-week internship with Miranda and Tim, the students accomplished a lot, including some short videos, promotional brochures and postcards, a revamp of the Place of Springs website and more. Give thanks for this blessing and pray that the work they accomplished will be fruitful in fostering connection for Miranda and Tim with potential partners in the expansion they envision for Place of Springs. Pray, too, that the trip will plant seeds for a missional perspective in the lives of the students.

Spain: a new home

Please pray for a mission partner couple and their children as they look for a property to rent near to where their children will be going to school. Pray for God to lead the family clearly to a property in the right area at the right price. Pray for the family as they prepare to move house and continue their ministry of grocery distribution, outreach and connecting with those God places in their path.

Miranda and Tim Heathcote support mission workers, especially in limited access nations, through leadership development, debriefing, spiritual direction and retreats. Pray for health and strength for Miranda as she travels to North Africa for a time of fellowship with a number of small teams, and for this gathering to encourage the group in the ways they most need it. Miranda and Tim are also preparing to host a group of trained spiritual directors who minister in the context of cross-cultural mission. Miranda writes, “Please pray that we will get a clearer picture of the ways God is inviting us to offer the gifts of spiritual direction in the context of busy, apostolic mission movements!”
