Partner with Lucy to release the potential of women
Lucy Ochieng of CMS-Africa delivers a biblical, practical course that gives women the tools to take control of their own lives. Covering identity in Christ, basic nutrition, family relationships, financial planning and business skills, the course is for all women.
Teresah was one such woman. On the first day she was reluctant, but soon became Lucy’s most enthusiastic participant.
Now she is running a successful business, enjoying better relationships with her children and living life to the full.
Women have the potential to be a powerful voice for the gospel and for good in Africa: you can have a hand in releasing this potential.
Her friends all notice the change in her and keep asking what her secret is!
A gift of £27 could pay for a woman like Teresah to attend the course.
Partner with Jackson to inspire young people
Young people are the future of Africa. In Kenya alone, under-30s make up three-quarters of the population. But their future is uncertain, with many young Africans struggling to determine their strengths and secure employment. Jackson Wanga challenges under-30s through a programme called 3D: Discover, Develop and Deploy. The three-month training programme helps young people to understand their God-given talents and how to use them best.
Over the next five years, Jackson’s goal is to deliver this powerful training to 5 million people across Africa. Can you help him achieve this aim?
“At first, I was confused with what to take as my career but after the Discover module, I learned that I can teach. Through the Develop module, I learned to use the little I have to share it with others and have been able to teach the children the Word of God.”
Imelda Naggayi, 3D graduate
A gift of £45 could pay for a young person like Imelda to attend one part of the 3D training.
Partner with CMS-Africa to encourage business leaders to serve God
Many Christians in Africa go to church on Sundays, but aren’t sure how to follow Jesus during the rest of the week. CMS-Africa shows business leaders that they can serve God in their work lives. The Business as Mission Team are kingdom-minded people. They aim to start sustainable businesses based on biblical principles, and they prioritise fair trade and caring for the environment.
Recently, one member was offered a bribe. He responded, “I cannot do this. My faith does not allow it.” This is a small action, but it’s a massive change in mindset.
Could you kickstart a new sustainable business with a grant of £100?
Changes like this will change Africa.
CMS-Africa has a bold goal of transforming 50 million families by 2050. They are already ahead of schedule.
Will you partner with them to reach their target?
