BORN A BOY
Congratulations! You were born a boy in northern India.
The thief is more intent on… destroying your sisters than you. This could be your future:
Being born a boy, your family will prioritise your education above that of your sisters – lucky you! Where you live, the literacy rate for males is 80%, compared to 53% for females.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come in order that you might have life – life in all its fullness.”
John 10:10 (GNT)
India was recently rated the most dangerous country in the world for women. Because you’re a boy, you are spared lifelong discrimination due to gender and your risk of being trafficked, raped or abused is much lower than if you had been born a girl.
As a boy, you’re considered more valuable than a girl, so you are less likely to be malnourished, more likely to be vaccinated and more likely to receive medical attention if you become ill.
Where you are born, and whether you are born male or female, can feel like a lottery. Many girls in our world have lost before their lives have even begun, purely by virtue of being female.
By giving today, you can be part of correcting this injustice and stopping the thief – inviting women to share in the fullness of life Jesus came to bring them.
Give today to stop the thief
Please note: CMS does not approve of gambling, especially where people’s lives are concerned. By giving today, you can be part of correcting the injustice of the gender lottery. You can stop the thief and invite women to share in the fullness of life.
